North Korea Parade: cheers, missiles & tanks for celebrating!

As you may already know Kim Jong-Un is likely to take the role as leader of his father King Jong-Il pretty soon. He actually has been promoted to 4-star general and as vice-chairman of the Workers Party's central military commissionlast month. Besides, the Chinese government seems to have approved the succession of the son, as it fears an instability in N.Korea which would lead to another wave of refugees crossing borders of China. It is clearly a significance of soon transition of power.
Anyway the parade was broadcasted in live on the national channel and it celebrated the 65th anniversary of Workers' party (led by third generation of the Kim family).
Actually 24 millions of North Korean had never seen the son Kim Jong-Un before, so they eventually discovered what their future leader looks like yesterday...
The parade was said to be the largest ever celebrating in the nation's history.
You better watch the video and look at images to see concretely what is going on in this secret part of world.

Classixx

Classixx is a revelation on Clubmoustache. The DJ duo from Los Angeles has been releasing their smooth disco, new wave, indie rock remixes, works since years now and it is simply faboulous!
They used to go by the name "Young Americans" but they changed it to "Classixx" for some copyrights problems.
Here you will find a selection of their best remixes + a video but check their myspace out for more.
(By the way they will be present for the Kitsuné Maison Party on November 2010 in London, so if interested book your tickets ASAP !)
Treasure

It's been a busy start to the week on clubmoustache, and its not going to end just yet!
Nicolas Makelberge from Sweden, makes melodic and rythmic music with a particular 80s touch. It actually gives you a strange feeling listening to his song "She's like gravity". I know it is a tricky choice but you have absolutely no idea where the song comes from! It is just awesome.
His album "Dying in Africa" was released on 2007.

Olympics Black Power

Mexico Olympics 1968 medal ceremony is probably the most popular ceremony ever.
The two athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos protested during the victory ceremony against continuing racial discrimination of black people in the U.S.
As you may imagine, many of the crowd booed the act...
"Black America will understand what we did tonight." - Tommie Smith.

Waiting For A Star To Fall - Boys Meet Girls
Still surfing on the 80s wave, let me introduce you a real pearl coming from the U.S: Boys Meet Girls, an american pop duo.
They are well known for their "Waiting For A Star To Fall" hit which by the way reached number 9 UK charts in 1989.
This is an absolutely perfect 80s pop song, and even if some of you are not keen on 80s pop music, it is worth definitely a listen. Believe me.

Funky day
Here we come again with some special 80s music as usual.
Today is a special funky day, so let's start the session with "Juicy Fruit" from the Mtume group (80s American funk group).
The hit song from 1983 can also be heard in the famous video game GTA Vice City on Fever 105 radio station (for the lucky ones who played the video game).
Then let's continue with another 80s hit "More Bounce to the Ounce" of Zapp and Roger an american soul/funk duo formed by two brothers (Roger and Larry).
"Juicy Fruit" and "More Bounce to the Ounce" were both sampled by The Notorious B.I.G later!
Please enjoy the two songs as much as I do.
